Ronald E. McNair Postbaccalaureate Achievement Program (McN)

Ronald E. McNair was one of the first black astronauts at NASA. His remarkable life ended in the Challenger explosion in 1986. Despite growing up in a poor, segregated neighborhood in South Carolina, he obtained his Ph.D. in physics from MIT. His legacy of faith, courage, and unshakable will are guiding values for the McNair Program.
