I have this idea for the start of the show. That an old fashioned slide show is being seen on the show scrim as the audience comes in. The content of the show are not yet determined, but could have something to do with what the children might see when in the nursery... perhaps a slide show of a history of pirates as a foreshadowing of the play. It might also be a slide show that incorporates images of fairies.

Then, when the show scrim bleeds though to the start of the show and into the nursery, we see the kids watching the same last slide on a screen in the room as was seen in the preshow presentation. This would mean they would have a projector and screen in the nursery, that they then turn off and put the screen down, then they go into the Mother and Father make believe that is written as is in the script. Its just an idea to consider as an interesting lead in to the show from the preshow.

This might set the tone and time period for the audience?
