Information and Learning Technologies (ILT)
Information and Learning Technologies (ILT) is a field of study in which
professionals work to solve human performance and productivity issues
related to the learning process. The focus of ILT is to incorporate
current technologies into the learning and instructional methodologies.
One of the programs within the division of Technology and Special Services
(TSS), the ILT program prepares professionals to work in different
roles, including:
- corporate training designer or learning technologies specialist
- library media directory in K-12 schools
- technology-using K-12 teacher
- technology coordinator in higher education
To receive a Masters of Arts degree within the ILT program, students must
complete at least 36 semester hours of credit: (approximately 15 hours
from required core courses,18 hours from electives, and 1-3 hours for a
terminal project).
