Description: A study of the native Colorado mountain and plains vascular flora. Student learns identification procedure using frozen fresh plant specimens. The principles of taxonomy, methods of collection and preservation, and herbarium procedures are covered in theory and practice. Some collecting and observation of mountain habitats are provided through field trips. Lect., lab., some field trips.
Prerequisites: one year of general biology.
