M.I.C.E.F.A.
MICEFA is a consortium of thirteen universities in the Paris metro area. The University of Colorado at Denver maintains an exchange program with the consortium. Students can spend one semester or one year studying at one of these universities as an exchange student. This is one of the most affordable opportunities to study in Paris.
PROGRAM
Year or semester exchange.
DATES
August through June.
CURRICULUM
MICEFA provides an additional four week intensive French language course prior to the beginning of the Fall semester. Courses selected by the student with approval from academic advising in advance.
HOUSING
Dormitories or student apartments are available.
COST
Students pay the equivalent of CU-Denver tuition and fees (currently $1,050) plus a one time administrative fee of $250. Students are responsible for their own room and board, insurance, transportation and any incidental costs. Financial aid is available. Any checks should be made payable to the University of Colorado.
APPLICATION PROCESS

As this is a one-to-one exchange program, space is limited. Students are expected to have a grade of B or better for prior French Language work. Students are required to meet with the French faculty at the University of Colorado at Denver for an admission interview. Application packets are available at the Office of International Education.
INSURANCE
All participants will be required to purchase an International Identification Card (approximately $21) which is available from Council Travel in the Tivoli Student Union.
ADMISSION DEADLINES
April 15 for the fall semester. October 15 for the spring semester.
TRANSPORTATION
Students are responsible for their own travel arrangements and student visas.

The Office of International Education at CU-Denver also offers opportunities to study abroad in China, England, France, Germany, Ireland, Mexico, Nepal, Russia, and Sweden. Study Abroad programs range in length from two weeks to one year. Short-term programs are available during the winter break, the summer, and throughout the year. The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Colorado at Denver also offers the opportunity for students to study at one of their International Campuses overseas.
