DENVER - The Graduate School of Public Affairs at the University of Colorado at Denver has established a new master's program for managers in domestic violence service agencies and for recent college graduates who wish to enter this field.
The Bryant Program on Domestic Violence will provide generous fellowships for selected students who enter the Master of Public Administration program. The fellowship recipients will take a combination of courses designed to build strong management and policy-making skills and in-depth knowledge of the social and psychological factors underlying violence against women, the impact of family violence on children, the policy and legal implications of domestic violence, and other topics.
All students will participate in monthly retreats featuring speakers, discussions with local practitioners and in-depth discussions with other students. Fifteen $10,000 fellowships will be available for fall semester, 2000.
