Course Structure and Expectations

Introduction to Sociology is a survey of the topics covered by sociology. The course requires your diligent attention to completing the reading on time.

I would like you to check the computer listed announcements at least once a week. Quizzes and exams will be announced here regularly as well as in the topical outline of the course.

You should feel free to send comments by Email that you were unable to make in class. Please keep in mind that it is often difficult to judge the tone of a comment, so be very careful in what you put in the Email response. We will discuss any questions you have about the material covered to that time in the course as well as issues or difficulties you are having with the course.

When ever points in my topic material or the text are unclear or contradict each other, or there are points you do not understand be certain to raise them in class, through the discussion topics or send your questions to me by Email (randerso@carbon.cudenver.edu). Points that are general I will share with all students.

Your participation with your fellow classmates is very important, please share your thoughts and ideas with all of us. Keep in mind, no one person has all of the knowledge about any subject -- you and I are still learning. Lets do it together.
