Biological Processes in Water Quality Engineering


Course Description:

A comprehensive course that covers the theory and application of biological processes used in water quality engineering, with an emphasis on municipal and industrial wastewaters and biosolids. The initial lectures will introduce material on microbial energetics, diversity, and kinetics. The reminder of the courses will involve the application of foundamental principles to treatment and energy recovery processes, including bioreactor configurations and design considerations.
