Who is SafeHouse?
Established in 1977 as an emergency shelter for battered women and children, SafeHouse has expanded to include residential, as well as outreach, client service and a comprehensive community education programs.

Our Mission
The Mission of SafeHouse Denver is to prevent domestic violence through education, advocacy, and shelter, while assisting women and children to develop options for a violence-free life.

Our Goals
To intervene in domestic violence by providing services that empower women and children to live free from domestic abuse. To prevent domestic violence through education efforts that foster and support a broad movement for violence-free communities. To advocate for systems and policy changes within public, private and non-profit institutions, challenging existing barriers to ending domestic violence.
