To manage its resources the Library employs the CARL System developed by the Colorado Alliance of Research Libraries.
The CARL System contains dozens of databases including library catalogs for Auraria as well as other libraries across the state and throughout the nation, current article indexes, and information databases.

Because the Auraria Library considers its educational role to be an important part of its mission, we publish the AURARIA LIBRARY HANDBOOK as an introduction to the use of its collections and services. The handbook, a compilation of ideas from library faculty to guide you through the research process, is just one element in an extensive program of library instruction offered by Auraria Library personnel.
