Most of my independence has been enabled because of public transportation. This is where I met Ar. Immediately after I took her picture she asked me to sit next to her and she would share a story with me. As it turned out we had a lot in common. If these sort of interactions were more commonplace I believe we could network and build our neighborhoods up to a new standard.

This is a classic depiction of a rundown building no longer in use. The obvious black and white contrast caught my eye immediately and I was motivated to use the black fencing to symbolize capture or restraint.

The scene appears frequently along Colfax’s strip. When I first moved to Park Hill these sorts of tattoo and body piercing shops caught me off guard; now after having lived around Colfax for nearly half my life I have accepted them as part of the atmosphere.
